Robbie Leonard, PT, DPT, brings extensive clinical and administrative expertise to the rehabilitation industry. With a career spanning decades, she has delivered continuing education seminars nationwide on Medicare regulations, compliance, billing and coding, and practice administration. She holds certifications in both Lean Healthcare and Healthcare Compliance.

Dr. Leonard has taught in academic settings including the Physical Therapy programs at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and Western Carolina University. She currently teaches administrative coursework for the transitional DPT program at the University of Montana and for the University of Delaware’s PT program.

Her professional experience includes owning a private practice and serving as Vice President of Administration for a multi-state private practice organization with over 30 locations. As the co-founder of 8150 Advisors, Dr. Leonard plays a key role on the M&A team, helping physical therapy clinic owners successfully navigate the sale of their businesses.

A dedicated member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since PT school, Dr. Leonard has held numerous leadership roles at both the state and national levels. She has served on the APTA Private Practice Annual Conference Program Work Group since 2018 and has chaired the group for the past four years.

Outside of her professional life, Robbie and her husband Mike enjoy traveling the country in their RV during the late summer and fall. Their daughter Erin and son-in-law Elliot—both physical therapists and private practice owners—carry on the family’s commitment to the profession.
